Westhill-based ORKA Solutions is marking four years in business this month, reflecting on four years of supporting organisations across Aberdeen, the North East, and Scotland with commercial solar, EV charging, and battery storage projects.
Since launching in June 2022, the business has worked with organisations across a wide range of sectors, helping them navigate changing energy costs, evolving technology and the growing need to plan for the future.
Over the past four years, conversations around energy have changed significantly. While many early discussions focused on rising energy prices, businesses are increasingly taking a longer-term view, looking at how energy infrastructure can support operational resilience, future growth and wider sustainability goals.
Throughout that period, ORKA has delivered projects for organisations including fellow Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce members Hilton Instruments, AJT Engineering and Maritime Developments Ltd (MDL), as well as community organisations and businesses across a range of sectors throughout the region.
Duncan Booth, Managing Director of ORKA Solutions, said:
"One of the biggest changes we've seen over the last four years is the way businesses think about energy. Early conversations were often focused on immediate cost pressures. Today, many organisations are looking further ahead and considering how energy decisions support growth, resilience and long-term operational goals."
He added:
"We've been fortunate to work with a wide variety of organisations over the last four years and we're grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us. As the energy landscape continues to evolve, we're looking forward to helping even more businesses across the region plan with confidence for the years ahead."
As ORKA celebrates its fourth anniversary, the company remains focused on supporting businesses with practical, straightforward advice and solutions tailored to their individual requirements, while continuing to contribute to the region's transition towards a more sustainable energy future.
