Hilton Instruments Advances Environmental Goals with ORKA's Solar & EVCP Expertise

Project: Solar PV & EV Charge Point

Client: Hilton Instruments

Location: Dyce, Aberdeen

ORKA Project Lead: Duncan Booth

The project brief

As part of its sustainability strategy, Hilton Instruments sought a renewable energy solution that would help reduce operational costs and improve its environmental impact. Hilton Instruments engaged with ORKA to design a solar system that would align with its business goals and meet its unique requirements as a service provider to various industries.

The solution

After carefully evaluating Hilton Instruments' requirements and environmental goals, ORKA designed a tailored solar energy system. The solution included 60 x 410-watt solar panels and a Solis S5 three-phase inverter. This setup ensures optimal energy generation during peak hours, helping Hilton Instruments reduce operational costs and contribute to its sustainability goals while responding to customer demand for greener operations.

ORKA successfully designed, installed, and commissioned the Solar PV system for Hilton Instruments. The system is expected to significantly reduce energy consumption during daylight hours, leading to noticeable operational savings.

EV Charging Installation

To further enhance Hilton Instruments’ sustainability efforts, ORKA installed an EV charging station, providing on-site charging for electric vehicles. This addition supports Hilton’s drive toward greener operations and reduces reliance on fossil fuels.

In Conclusion, Hilton Instruments' partnership with ORKA has resulted in measurable financial and environmental benefits. With reduced electricity costs, lower carbon emissions, and improved energy efficiency, Hilton continues to set an example of sustainability for the industry.
