The project focused on delivering a high-performing Solar PV system at AJT’s Souterhead Road premises in Altens, Aberdeen. With support from the ETZ Property Improvement Fund, AJT was able to proceed with the investment, aiming to reduce its environmental impact and enhance long-term energy resilience.
The challenge for ORKA was to design and deliver a system that aligned with AJT’s environmental goals, met funding timelines, and addressed the characteristics of the site.
ORKA Solutions developed a bespoke Solar PV system tailored to AJT’s site and sustainability objectives. The installation included:
- 160 panels providing 79.2kWp
- Solis 60kW 3 Phase Inverters (6x MPPT DC inputs)
- Esdec Rail Mounting System (customised layout)
- Bird Protection Measures to the perimeter of solar panels
- Solis WiFi Datalogger for real-time system monitoring
- Distribution Board, metering, and electrical works for integration, testing, and commissioning
ORKA’s proactive project management ensured smooth progress despite weather-related site delays, keeping the project on track to meet critical ETZ funding deadlines. The team worked closely with AJT to ensure the system was designed for long-term performance and reliability, with particular attention to installation quality and site-specific requirements.
The Solar PV system is now operational, contributing to AJT’s sustainability targets and providing real-time visibility of energy generation. The project was delivered on time and to specification, supporting AJT’s commitment to environmental improvement and energy efficiency.
